P.R.D.: Partido para a Renovação e Desenvolvimento (Party
for Renewal and Development) — this party is not listed among the candidates
of either the
2004
nor the
2008
elections as it is one of the members of the U.M.
coalition.
António Martins, 08 Mar 2010
The flag of P.R.D. is shown in both ballot papers
reported (on the bottom line: #12 in Bissau-28 and #11 in Bissau-29). It
is an orange flag with a version of the party emblem
centered on it: This is made of a thin very dark green assymetrical orthogonal
cross, its larger quadrant at top fly; the upper hoist quadrant’s cross
tips are joined to form a triangle, filling the lower hoist quadrant a green
triangle with void gaps and two equidistant vertical cuts, and at the lower
fly quadrant the letters "PRD" set in dark green bold serif capitals (probably
in the Times New Roman typeface). The flag ratio is roughly 5:7 as most
others’ in the ballot papers are.
António Martins, 08 Mar 2010
The party emblem as shown standalone in both ballot
papers reported is slightly different than as on the flag, the upper hoist
quadrant having no gap along the long side of the dark green triangle, and the
remaining area filled not with a sun but rather with a simple yellow
triangle.
